HULL COMMERCIALS A History of the 10th (Service) Battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment

Hull Commercials served with the 31st Division at Serre on the first day of the Somme in 1916, avoiding the worst losses. They later suffered heavily in the same sector and at Oppy Wood in early 1917, continuing on the Western Front through the German Spring Offensive and the final Hundred Days Offensive.
