The History of the First Bn. The Lincolnshire Regiment in India, Arakan, Burma & Sumatra Sept. 1939-Oct. 1946

A well-produced Battalion history of a unit that was deployed from India to fight the Imperial Japanese Army in the Burma campaign with the 26th Indian Division. The 1st Battalion saw fighting for the Admin Box that was severe. The battalion’s job was to break through the attackers and reinforce those within the Box. After Admin it spent the final stages of the war in Malaya and Sumatra.
